Nage Waza Techniques

Judo techniques are potentially dangerous and should only be practiced with proper safety precautions and instruction.  The information on this site should only be used under supervision of a qualified judo instructor.

Judo techniques can be divided into two categories.  The first category is the tachi waza techniques.  These are the stand up techniques.  Kodokan judo recognizes 67 throwing techniques or nage waza.  The second category is the ne waza or ground techniques.
