Dog Pack

 

 

Dog Pack Judo is a program that is specifically designed to safely teach 5-8 year olds the fundamentals of judo using games and activities.  Classes are taught by Sensei Jamie who is an experienced Primary, Junior and intermediate educator as well as a member of the Ontario College of Teachers.  Sensei Jamie is also NCCP Level II certified.

The Dog Pack focuses on:

bulletproper break falls
bulletsimple ground techniques
bulletbreaking your opponents balance
bulletsimple stand up techniques

as well as:

bulletdeveloping a sense of independence
bulletlearning to share
bullettaking turns
bulletencouraging socialization
bulletfollowing directions and problem solving
bulletdeveloping self-esteem
bulletpromoting physical fitness
bulletpromoting coordination and stamina
bulletbuilding fundamental motor skills
bulletincreasing awareness of body in space
bulletdemonstrating responsibility
bulletshowing self-control
bulletacting respectfully

 

Classes run Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 6:00 - 6:45.
